SMATCH has been deployed and operated in a smart charging pilot project on a part of the public charging infrastructure of the City of Rotterdam.

The project took place from September 1st 2020 to December 31st 2020 and gave the opportunity to evaluate the available flexibility of EVs in Rotterdam, to define rules to use it and to implement those rules on a real case.

A selection of 58 charging points was made, steered by SMATCH during the whole duration of the project. Together with ENGIE Services Nederland and ENGIE Global Energy Management Solutions, our experts have been able to demonstrate ENGIE’s ability to reduce peak power and optimize the energy usage while keeping EV users’ charging experience unchanged. Discover how SMATCH® is making smart charging the new standard for cities.
