Smart charging made easy

A SMATCH configuration begins with a dimensioning exercise, defining the best technical and economical solution for the site.

The base module orchestrates EV charging against the business site’s static capacity constraints. Where there are three-phase electrical systems, it arranges for loads to be balanced across the different phases of the distribution transformer. Rules can also be defined that can prioritize specific charging points. And a dashboard with consolidated reports helps site owners to monitor and evaluate the charging process.


Site consumption-based optimization

Module 1 additionally takes into account real and forecast power consumption at the site, allowing the power allocated to EVs to be increased and balancing the loads dynamically.


Local production-based optimization

Module 2 additionally integrates real-time and forecast data of local renewable energy production. This allows the system to further optimize the allocation of charging capacities, for example to maximize PV self-consumption.


User priority-based optimization

Module 3 additionally integrates EV user expectations into the equation. Using an app, drivers can enter the time they have available and the desired level of charge, allowing the system to better match power supply and demand. Additional customization could be provided for fleet managers to directly manage priorities from their systems via APIs
